Information About RRB Bangalore Selection Procedure
Online Examination: After
the screening of applications, the applicants will be called for a Online
Examination. The Online Examination is of objective type questions from General
Awareness, Arithmetic & General Intelligence and Reasoning sections. You
will have to answer them in 90 minutes. Railway Recruitment Board,
Bangalore will fix cutoffs for each category & those securing above these
total cutoff scores will proceed to the next stage.
Main Examination: Applicants
who will qualify the Online Examination / Preliminary Exam may appear for Main
Examination. Main Examination includes General Knowledge/Awareness/Mathematics
/Reasoning subjects etc. Those candidates who will qualify the Main Examination
will be called for next stage.
Typing Test / Skill Test: For
a very few particular categories there is a viva after the written exam, while
for certain other categories there is a skill test like typing test or stenography
test. So, applicants who will qualify the previous Stage may appear for Typing
Test / Skill Test. Typing Test / Skill Test does not carry any marks but
applicants must qualify in it.
Candidates should be able to type 30 words per
minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi.
The words are to be typed only on computer provided at
the examination centre.
Psychological Aptitude Test: For
categories concerning to operational safety like Assistant Station Master,
Assistant Loco Pilot there will be an Aptitude Test. Contenders who
successfully qualify the given test will be called for a Psychological Aptitude
Test. Aptitude Tests are organized to evaluate a aspirant’s attention,
attentiveness, intelligence, perception & strengths. No negative marks for
wrong answers.
Physical
Efficiency Test / Medical Fitness Test:
Medical Fitness Test: Candidates
suggested for appointment will have to pass requisite Medical Fitness Test.
Visual Insight Standard is one of important procedure of Medical Fitness of
railway employee.
Physical Efficiency Test: Only
those applicants who qualify in the written examination will be called for
Physical Efficiency Test to the extent of 10 times the number of vacancies in
each category.
